I have been remastering my Quest West and Biking For Wishes movies and I plan to have both finished and available on dvd sometime soon! Movie descriptions below.
( Trailer For Biking For Wishes - The Movie )
Biking For Wishes - Solo bicycle trip taken in the summer of 2011 from Weed, California to Asheville, North Carolina. Covering 3,812 miles of American beauty, I witnessed the goodness of mankind so very often. The scenery was nothing short of incredible, a wide variety of wildlife and birdlife, as well as plenty of delicious food! I did suffer from the extreme heat and abundant flat tires but I have no regrets.
This trip was nothing short of amazing and the best part of all is the money Biking For Wishes raised granted Ethan's Wish to go to the Walt Disney World Resort! I cannot thank everyone involved enough for help making Ethan's wish come true!
Quest West - In the summer of 2009 I left my job of 8 years in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and began a solo bicycle trip to the Redwoods of northern California! I crossed the beautiful state of Wisconsin and then biked along the mighty Mississippi River until reaching the headwaters in northern Minnesota. From there I continued through Fargo crossing North Dakota and Montana, passing over the Rocky Mountains in northern Idaho. I then biked through wine county in Walla Walla, Washington followed the Columbia River past Mount Hood, Portland and then laying eyes for the very first time on the Pacific Ocean in Astoria, Oregon. From there I biked the entire Oregon Coast south to Redwood National Park in Crescent City, California.
The entire trip covered 3,592 miles and raised just under $2,600 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation®. As with my Biking For Wishes trip it was the people who really made the journey so rewarding and memorable. After reaching the Redwoods and spending a couple months back home in Wisconsin I retrieved my bike from storage and moved to Weed, California. This Quest West was one of the best decisions of my life and I think back to it often with many great memories. I hope to showcase just how special this trip was in the newly revised movie with an all new soundtrack.
